I finally saw Obsession, and wow that was unsettling. Really well done, it didn't at all feel its small budget. It was such an obvious allegory of abusive control and incel behavior. It's probably really disturbing but not surprising that some of the usual suspects are debating who the villain was 😬

I've said it before, but my children are not, and have never been my property. I don't own them. I'm more like...their immediate supervisor
I think the only people who DON’T feel this way are parents who see children as property and not people
if my kid ever felt he had a reason to cut me out of his life due to my words or actions, that would be on ME

Maybe this makes me a weird mom, but I firmly believe my kid can and should cut me off someday for most any reason. I don’t want her to, so I try to give her as few reasons as possible! But it’s her life. She is not obligated to keep me part of it.
