Crossplaying is a needless tag to cosplay, people have been cosplaying as characters that aren’t their assigned gender for as long as cosplay has existed, it’s not a separate thing & doesn’t need to be categorized as such/even as a secondary branch imo cuz if anything that feels more alienating
