I’m fed up with adaptations of the classics. Yes, perhaps they draw attention to the book, but the way I see it, they are attempts to merge with the legend by participating in a film—often a stupid film—yet it gets placed on the same level as the book... It’s revolting.

I am troubled by the tendency to view an artist's place of residence as the primary factor when evaluating their work. Personally, I see myself more as a door through which paintings enter the world; I am secondary. That is precisely why I dislike the contemporary art world so much;

I realized that we often perceive people from a different world as indifferent, but in reality, it is simply a matter of being limited by one's own reality. If an action seems unthinkable to a person within their own world, they view it as nothing more than a fantastic story.
