10 years ago reacting to AI slop was pure comedy, but the slop getting more realistic and being treated like it has value really ruined it

I said liberals cuz JPW mentioned "Dems sitting out" and I ain't no Dem.

And how many Republicans changing their vote would've swung it for Harris? 300k? A million?
September 16, 2026 at 1:18 PM
*their popular vote gap
September 16, 2026 at 1:17 PM
Their popular vote game was 2 million. I think the 200k is referring to the minimum swing state shift needed to change the results.

If Dems sitting out is the bigger issue, talk to the Dems, and maybe figure out what the Democratic party is doing to alienate them, instead of focusing on the voters Democrats are deciding aren't enough.
September 16, 2026 at 1:15 PM
So you would rather a fascist vote for a Republican because they want fascism, than a liberal vote for a third party candidate whose platform they agree with? Buck wild.
September 16, 2026 at 1:14 PM
Cool, tell it to the overwhelming number of moderate Republican voters who actively vote MAGA because they think Harris-style libs are imperfect

"it's not about the voters, it's about the voters"

??? Am I missing something here?

this is the guy that just two weeks ago was like “you know what? punching left is GOOD actually” and then crashed out abt it for like 3 days (not to mention spreading the ‘leftists stabbed us in the back’ myth)

Hates leftists and hates being called a centrist, checks out
September 15, 2026 at 9:57 PM
Tough to say. Obviously things were better four years ago, but that just let the right wing fester. Like I said, ineffectual centrists in power helps all non-centrists.

The consultant class will blame trans people either way. Maybe they just need to get out.

If a mediocre-at-best Democrat defeats a worse Republican, then we get an example of centrism actually governing, which can be usable evidence of its flaws. This does benefit the right and left both, but it might do more to move the needle left.

Meanwhile Labour didn't even get that many votes.

*a risk of a partywide pivot that some people erroneously talk about as if the pivot has happened
September 13, 2026 at 6:38 AM
Hallucinated thesis statement. While this being a 13 state (8 red) 37 candidate list does mean that the "a party cannot [be won back]" rhetoric comes across kinda alarmist, I think it would also be fair to read Erin's article as discussing a fringe that will be appearing on many people's ballots.

Jeffrey Hulum III: Kinda sounds like acquittal by association. So what if other Mississippi Dems voted yes? Hulum is the one running for federal office! The fact that it was 26 yea, 4 nay, 10 present does show how slim the picking are though.
September 13, 2026 at 6:37 AM
Aaron Ford and Xavier Becerra: Obviously past votes only mean so much when criticizing what people feel is a partywide pivot. These are good reasons to support them against their opponents though.
September 13, 2026 at 6:37 AM
Beau Bayh: Similar to before, the criticism is just that she mentioned negative things without mentioning the positive things that were also in her linked source. Factually Paulauski is on the money.

No citation or year on these votes, but similar to with Peltola, these statements on Trone Garriott and Turek are just value judgments. Including their good votes would be more responsible of Erin even if they predate their worse statements.
