The End of Oak Street is a thrilling survival adventure flick that delivers delightful dinosaur mayhem in a way that is pure popcorn fun. filmobsessive.com?p=305689

THE END OF OAK STREET offers nearly nonstop dinosaur mayhem... there's a wonderful silliness to the film as it makes no real attempt to be anything other than amusing chaos and chomping jaws... & only those who are zero fun at barbecues would expect otherwise.

SUPER TROOPERS 3 does its best to recapture the irreverent magic of the first film but is mainly an amusing third flick for the fans... which still ain't bad... for more of what works and what doesn't check out my spoiler-free review at Film Obsessive.

If you're looking for a casual watch, check out my review of THE DINK... an earnest comedy with enough laughs to be enjoyable and certainly better than watching the same old, same old for the thousandth time.

filmobsessive.com/film/new-rel...
The Dink Is Comfortably Familiar
THE DINK serves up a sentimental comedy that feels like a throwback to 90s flicks when being earnest mattered as much as a clever punchline.

THE ODYSSEY delivers a superb interpretation of Homer's epic poem that's largely about how myths develop, why we need them, & the tragic side of being a hero...for more of what works, and the little that doesn't, check out my spoiler-free review at Film Obsessive.

The Odyssey Reminds Why Myths Matter
The Odyssey is a cinematically superb adaptation of a classical epic that will remind viewers of the power and purpose of myth and movies.

BARRIO TRISTE is an atmospheric flick that may be more poetic than found footage folks suspect... those looking for something violent and sinister might be let down, but those open to its aspirations will experience a solid first step for a visual director.

Barrio Triste Flirts with Nightmares
More poetic than sinister, BARRIO TRISTE is a trippy fantasy/found-footage film flirting with the edge of nightmares.

Not bad for a band ads or live shows... someone recently described Beerfinger as a combination of Ratt, Poison, & Cannibal Corpse... not how I'd describe it but thanks for listening... lemme know if you agree with that after you check out The Wreck of Hope.

My review of the summer's first "blockbuster"... Disclosure Day is likely to split audiences between those who delight in it's all sizzle and no steak adventure and those who can't see past its dreadfully unoriginal shallow themed plot.

filmobsessive.com/film/new-rel...
Disclosure Day Will Likely Divide
Though visually superb, Steven Spielberg's DISCLOSURE DAY delivers dull distractions instead of the deep delights it desires.

On The Wreck of Hope, Beerfinger steers straight into darkness without surrendering to it. Inspired by sludge metal, gothic rock, and even the nautical dread of the video game Dredge, the album embraces a Romantic fascination with beauty amid ruin.

The Wreck of Hope is coming out June 3rd... which means we got a track list now... sludge inspired alt-metal with some punk sensibilities... featuring songs about loss, confessions of weakness, rage, and a strange optimism that can only come from harnessing a spark from the void to light the dark.

READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME is a satisfying sequel that leans into the comical... more often absurd fright flick than outright nightmare fuel, it's a fun ride with a few flaws, but nothing that ever derails this fresh fear feature.

THE BRIDE! fabulously doesn't aim to appeal to everyone... propelled by an award-worthy performance by Jessie Buckley, in an ambitious film that's main flaw may be trying to grasp too many stars as it shoots for the moon... only a few slipping away by a fingertip.

BIGHT is a surprisingly engaging erotic thriller that manages to be about the emotional consequences of sexual entanglements rather than trite titillation... this isn't pretentious softcore masquerading as meaningful but a dark journey into a downward spiral.

IRON LUNG has a lot of portions that work well in isolation, but overall, it just doesn't come together into a captivating movie... yet, it may still appeal to fans of the video game... for more of what works & what doesn't check out my review at Film Obsessive .

GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE has so much going for it that the fact little of it works is a damn shame... it's the kind of movie that will leave anyone who watches wondering what better version could have been.

GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE wastes a great cast in a promising premise spoiled by telling the story instead of letting viewers see it.
