When this thing is uploaded, I hope you all give it a watch and let me know what you think. It started as a bit of a therapeutic exercise for me, but I think it explores something that I believe could be universal, and maybe there’s no reason to feel alone in that.

As someone who doesn’t take time to congratulate themselves or acknowledge their accomplishments, I feel proud that this isn’t a project that I abandoned or left an unrealized dream on a word doc. It may not be the flashiest or biggest project in the world, but it is mine, and that’s enough for me.

I brainstormed an idea that was feasible to make alone, with some key help from family and friends, then spent most of July doing principal photography. After editing/reshooting for this past month of August, I can say that I’m personally proud of the final product, and I’ll be releasing it soon.

Then back in June, I’m not even sure the exact reason why, but I was struck with motivation to finally do what all these big filmmakers are always telling people: just make your film!

Also, what a great start to 2026 for Haley Lu Richardson. Ponies and Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die are some of my favorites this year, with Richardson being a stand out in both!
