Jazzwio is the Austrian guitar and vibes duo of Harry Pepl and Werner Pirchner. Prepared vibraphone, odd-time signatures and fun curious tunes that at times sound free.

Fascinating 10" record commemorating a 1965 exhibit at MoMa in NYC of hand-made invented instruments. As a connoisseur of leftifield sound/performance and percussion and physical media, this record checks all the boxes. Comes in a tri-fold jacket with extensive notes.

Vibraphone-led instrumentals that run the gamut of Jamaican and Afro-Caribbean styles. Missing the original jacket (holler if you have an extra, need em for both his Studio One LPs), but couldn't pass up a vibraphone obscurity this good.

Afro National "Swinging Freetown" LP - U.S. mid-70s re-ish distributed by African Record Centre, who still occupy the Nostrand Ave. address in BK on the back of this sleeve. I long to get back there for more $15 dead stock 7"s.

Day off, catching up on recent purchases after a month with no stereo. I now have both of these excellent American Gamelan LPs.

New house with big basement means enough space for the marimba and vibes in the same studio.
