Canada is home to vast freshwater systems, wetlands, and boreal forests. Leaders have set bold goals to protect almost 400 million acres in 4 short years. Now is the moment to turn commitments into action to prove Canada can deliver.
What Will It Take for Ambition to Become Action? Delivering on Canada’s Nature Strategy
Canada’s new nature strategy will only succeed if political will, Indigenous leadership, and long‑term financing translate its bold vision into coordinated, enforceable action.

This is so sad. Rafe was a climate champion, a pioneer, and a friend and colleague for decades. He also helped achieve the Montreal Protocol to phase out CFCs and save the ozone layer. May his memory be a blessing.

US elites decided, like a school of fish, that climate concern is old, boring, "woke," square, not hip & popular any more. As usual, it was based almost entirely on internal elite dynamics. It had nothing to do with the actual public, which is more concerned than ever.
Climate Change Concern Near Its High Point in U.S.
The 44% of U.S. adults who currently worry "a great deal" about climate change or global warming is near its 46% high point from 2020.

Europe’s EV market is BOOMING.

Electric car sales shot up by almost a third in the EU in Q1 2026.

There are 2 reasons why – and they don’t include the energy crisis (yet).

Suzie Wiles needs some help thinking of ideas to lower gas prices. Any suggestions? How about:

• Don't bomb Iran.
• Restore fuel economy standards.
• Offer rebates to people who want an EV but can't yet afford one.

Grid investment is rising fast. BloombergNEF reports record spending in 2025 of 470 to 483 billion US dollars, up 17 percent on 2024. That is the second year of double digit growth.

This reflects structural change: more renewables, electrified transport & heating + rising demand from data centres.

Right - the IEA should just kick them out and sort out their funding from elsewhere.

The US will just keep on bullying until the IEA becomes a drooling brain dead cheerleader for fossil fuels. It won't ever stop. Anything less than saying NO the first time is just compounding loss
US 🇺🇸 Energy Secretary Chris Wright 𝘁̶𝗵̶𝗿̶𝗲̶𝗮̶𝘁̶𝗲̶𝗻̶𝘀̶ offers to leave International Energy Agency (IEA) if the work is "infused with climate stuff".

Let's take him by his word.

The IEA will be stronger without this U.S. administration.
