I was confused when I read the KATU article on this where they mention the dog was shot by a cop but also in the caption of a photo of the dog they say it was shot and killed during the shootout?
Also, they left the death of a person as almost an afterthought. Bizarre news making.
Updated information shows PPB killed the man and the dog. Absolutely shameful how some media talked about this man’s life like it was an afterthought, and unquestioningly put out copaganda.
This is one of the most insane news segments I’ve ever seen.

Hey this incredible hero dog died this is terrible day for the police — we’re not going to tell you who shot the dog — also a human was shot and killed but we’re not saying by who but the police say he’s violent.
