Not only that, but it’s actually much healthier to cut out all animal products. I’m 7 years vegan and I have never been fitter, healthier and happier. Animal based diets are killing us.

Likely through association of this diet with higher levels of obesity and sedentary lifestyle. Vascular dementia linked to inflammation, diabetes and high blood pressure. Simple message to reduce consumption but it still remains challenging to plan a nutritionally complete diet.

Billionaire sees opportunity for massive profit. Clearly this cannot be a good deal for the consumer if the investor is raking in billions. Sure we do need nuclear in our future, but it’s horrifically expensive form of energy.

EVs cost just as much if not more than petrol if you can’t charge at home. Nobody is remotely try to fix that.

Only cheaper if you can charge at home. For the rest of us reliant on public charging infrastructure EVs are slightly *more* expensive to run than petrol, and that’s before the 3p/mile additional cost.

What a negative take. Plenty of opportunities to call out truly viable alternatives. Change the framing and the language. Minimise/Avoid rather than completely cut out. This is why it's called Net Zero rather than True Zero - some things cannot be avoided.

Buying a heat pump tumble dryer has certainly saved us money. It might just be our experience, but all it does is to turn cold damp clothes into warm damp clothes over a couple of hours. We therefore reverted to line drying and multiple clothes airers, thereby using much less energy.

Temporary hidden because climate isn’t an election issue right? Both Reform and the Conservatives have pledged to cancel Net Zero. In my mind climate is one of the biggest factors in this round of election, and for the BBC to suppress it is disingenuous at best.

Ask you parents (or grandparents if you still have them) what they did to celebrate St. George's day - maybe show you the old photos. Other than a Scouts/Guides parade and a roast dinner there's nothing. We really don't celebrate the day in this country and never really did.

For many people, myself included, this directly incentivises drivers to pick petrol cars over EVs, because if you can't charge from home, the cost per mile for an EV is 1.5x more expensive than petrol under this new tax. This will 100% reduce demand for EVs.

All while incentivising motorists to buy cheaper petrol cars (via punitive taxation on EVs), removing funding from the poorest to insulate their homes or install low carbon heating, doing nothing to combat excessing frequent fliers & private jets, and green lighting North Sea oil extraction.

Ok, so you can (and should) increase the cost to the motorist, but you also need to give them an alternative such as well funded, reliable and frequent public transport.

So Labour are defining middle-class as anyone not on benefits. There's a massive range of income/wealth in that definition, and those just above the threshold for benefits would be massively punished. Locking in another decade of gas dependency is lose/lose situation.

There's a marked lack of vegan offerings anywhere these days. Grab what you can! The food industry successfully leveraged the "ultra-processed" topic to bring their market back to more profitable non-vegan options. Funny how that "ultra-processed" pushback only affected vegan food. 🤔
