People who care about the liberal democratic world order, from Seattle to Berlin to Moscow to Istanbul to Jakarta need to Sydney, need to be united against the global rise of fascism.

This is why 10 years ago I used to refer to him as ‘Cheeto Chavez’. I don’t think many people got the reference, but it seemed so obvious. It was all so familiar.

We’re (liberals of the world) are all in this together, we need to act like it.
