Jim Davis (born today in 1909) capped a decades-long career in film, radio & television with a high-profile stint on the primetime juggernaut Dallas in the late 1970s as Ewing Oil’s patriarch John Ross “Jock” Ewing. Davis died in 1981 but lived long enough to enjoy the stardom Dallas provided.

Boston’s self-titled debut album was released today in 1976 on Epic. People immediately took notice, as it is hard to beat side one: “More Than a Feeling” “Peace of Mind” and “Foreplay/Long Time” Side two is also terrific, highlighted by “Rock & Roll Band” “Smokin’” & “Hitch a Ride”

A word about Trump’s reckless trade war with Canada. This is happening because Trump’s entire career is based on fraud and grift, which means he simply does not know anything about economics, trade, markets. He never has.
