Trans rights is inherently a bodily autonomy issue. Just like abortion rights is. We can't have gender equity or reproductive freedom without trans rights. Full stop.

a modest proposal: if trans kids aren’t allowed to go thru the puberty they want because they’re “too young to know their gender,” then cis kids shouldn’t be allowed to either, for the same reason. puberty blockers for everyone until age 18, when you’re old enough to decide if you’re cis or not.

No, you cannot call the state of rights American trans people had as recently as 2023 "maximalist," sorry.

Solidarity With The Workers At Alexander Dennis, Scarborough Alexander Dennis recently signed a contract for over 200 buses, worth at least £57 million. This £57 million is generated from the skills and labour of the workers, not bosses. Those on the shop floor will, of course, not see their fair share of this revenue. Workers at Alexander Dennis now have a fifth less spending power than they did 5 years ago. This is no accident. We are all, as workers, united through our experiences of our labour being devalued & exploited by bosses. The IWGB is far too familiar with leadership lining their own pockets with the stolen wages of their employees. In response to strike action, bosses have made a paltry offer amounting to a real terms pay cut over the next two years. This is a further squeeze on those of us who are already struggling with the everyday reality of a cost of living crisis. They do not respect the power that we wield.
