I do stuff. Have a kinda big deal job. Use $ from job to buy Legos…and video games. A lot goes to vet bills, too. And shoes. Also have a family, who is not really into Lego. Live in a blue state and appreciate the taxes and crappy weather.

So are the flags going back to regular mast now? I figure if they were at -0.5 for Dolly, and DJT would have raised them above regular mast in celebration of G.Steinem’s death, so -0.5 + 0.5 =0

I keep having panic attacks during project kick-off meetings for work. I don’t know whether I’m just tired, overcome with a sense of futility because the future is f’d and we’re fiddling on the deck of the Titanic, or as a federal contractor, each contract tests my moral code. It’s just alot.

I’m not saying that fixing aging electric infrastructure is easy, but I’m in suburban NJ (= 21st Century) and JCPL said they can’t get power back until JULY 9. Only upside is that the generator is so loud that the dogs can’t hear what will be a week of ppl using up their rained-out fireworks.

Is the strategy that if Haberman and Swan handed the data they have to some legal entity, it’d get suppressed, so the only way to get it out there is to publish a book? I’m hoping that’s the case and this isn’t another “we have info that can stop this slide into hell but you have to pay us for it.”

Hockey, like Wu-Tang, is for the children and anyone who has an affinity for melee combat on ice skates should be welcomed to the sport… but… a little piece of me dies every time a team from a region inhospitable to ice wins the NHL championship.

My grandfather died in Korea after re-enlisting after WWII because he felt a compulsion to prove that as a German American he was worthy of the US and our principles.
So when I say that their acknowledgment of today is offensive to me, you know I have skin in the game.

I keep hearing Waterfalls (by TLC) as I think about Rudy. This is what happens when you try to be in the cool crowd with people who would never would have set foot within 40 blocks of WTC on 9/11. A sad footnote now. The fall does so much more damage when you start from higher ground.

It’s nice that the FDA is moving away from the Reefer Madness policy of not investigating therapeutic benefits of naughty compounds, but it would also be good if it didn’t seem like they think shrooms and vaccinations are mutually exclusive treatments.

The SPLC indictment has me legit shook. They have been on the front lines, doing the hard work of knowing the enemy for the benefit of all of us decent people. It’s a moral wound. Can someone explain the “merits” of the DOJ’s case? I know the obvious motive, but what was illegal in their assessment?

Oftentimes altruistic behavior is not individually profitable. Sometimes raising everyone up comes at a cost. They can’t wrap their brains around people just doing something because it’s feels right. They must have to be trained. Excellent self own.
I want to know if they honestly believe that nobody just genuinely hates what they’re doing and doesn’t want or need training or money to say so. I feel like they’re telling on themselves, which would go a long way as to why they’re comfortable engaging in supervillainy, but it might also be myopia.

I’m screaming on the inside on behalf of TSA. Their job involves managing irrational stressed people, language barriers, little children, and entitled jerks while being the first line of defense for our collective safety. Those who keep coming to work are better people than I am.
