I live in San Antonio and have enjoyed your writing for a long time. These shots are great, I look forward to the others. That Greyhound Station was the first place that many refuges and asylees came after processing at the border back when we used to accept refugees and asylees.

We were there as a family last summer. The Burke-Gilman trail is so safe and so convenient to get to great neighborhoods like Fremont and (almost) Ballard. Bike share bikes were plentiful to use. And nerdy, but the Ballard Locks were super interesting! Locks are kind of amazing!

This is the way for the clean and simple (and best) margarita. I’ve never added the Dry Curaçao and had done 1.5oz of reposado but I’ll give this a try.

The Dallas bid was always crazy for this reason. Mystifying. I am going to a game in Monterrey, Mexico and they’ve expanded their metro, partly for the World Cup. I’m excited to ride it to the game!

Vox is paywalled nowadays but I remember this article from a while back. www.vox.com/2015/5/7/856... Kind of like the story of Georgetown stopping WMATA in DC, I think the story of car companies killing streetcars is not totally accurate. I think that story goes into the nuance.
Not in a post but I have heard him talk about the starting lineup of the Brooklyn Dodgers while he was growing up and the minor league team in Burlington while he was mayor.

I rode three of those a few weeks ago. They’re great. Very comfortable and practical for day to day activities

Our family was just visiting Seattle earlier this month and this trail was the total hook up! We stayed in Ravenna, and biked to Ballard and Fremont on it. Great urban trail!
