Bright idea: stick a data center in the middle of a neighborhood where the power grid is - well, "antiquated" would be a generous word. Not to mention given the location, there's a lot more value in using that land for just about anything else.

I wonder, with the proliferation of NIL in college and the impending settlement for paying college athletes, would the NFL give a look at a minor league or something that would be a true pro gridiron feeder league? (No offense to the fairly entertaining UFL)

I have reached the stage of playing Stardew Valley where I'm considering making a macro-enabled Excel workbook to manage my farm. Maybe I should just enjoy the whimsy instead, but profit margins . . .

I've had Milli Vanilli's "Baby Don't Forget My Number" stuck in my head for two days now. Is this a sign of a psychotic break or is my brain just torturing me for sport?

There's a gentleman standing outside my local Sheetz jamming away on a harmonica in 20° weather right now, waiting for his friend to use the bathroom. He's not bad at all, even in this cold.

If it wasn't for the fact it's the defacto life information sharing site for my family and friends, I would dump my Facebook account based on today's changes announced by Meta. Thankfully I'm not enmeshed into that ecosystem any further.

I just heard the phrase "Freddie Kitchens knows how to run a professional locker room" on this UNC UConn radio broadcast. Let's not get crazy with the hyperbole here.

I get irrationally upset when I see people pull up to the wrong side of the pump and stretch the nozzle over to fuel up their vehicles. It's the most trivial of pet peeves.

The NBA Cup finished last night, and I can't say that it motivated me to engage any more with the NBA than I already do. Honest question - at this point, does it have more or less significance than winning a division title?

I feel like I need a car magnet to announce to the other drivers on 90 that I'm doing an insurance discount app program. Felt even more judged than usual this morning for driving the speed limit, even in the right lane.

I don't understand the discourse around The Witcher 4's trailer, other than a lot of chronically online people don't like how the main character looks. I guess I'm old enough to not care about such trivial things as long as the story and the gameplay are solid.

I just woke up from a dream where I made millions from starting a podcast in which I read and discussed random Wikipedia articles. "Encephalitis" apparently was the most listened to episode.

Using my Econ degree moreso to argue with people online about the realities of what's happening in the US economy than in my actual job makes that four years of study feel all the more worthwhile.

Now that it's December, I feel compelled to retort to anyone who says "gee, it got cold out there" with some variation of "you don't say, cold in Cleveland in December? Who'd have thunk it?"

Either the guy in the truck behind me coming home from running errands this afternoon had ski goggles on, or he was wearing a new Apple Vision headset. I seriously hope it was the former, and not the latter.

Just read that Taylor Swift got 56 seconds of screen time during the Super Bowl - with an ad being $7 million per 30 seconds, she got over $13 million in free publicity. That being said, ratings were up at least 15 million viewers versus last year, at least some of which can be attributed to her.

I like to imagine that every time I add music to my computer and phone, the shuffle algorithm puts together two songs that have never been played back to back in human history before that moment. (I have a preference for MP3s instead of a Spotify subscription.)
