Absolutely! I was introduced to Vixen during the Justice League Detroit era. She was a standout character and quickly became one of my favorites. Always love when she’s included in the JL lineup. Seems strange to say but, for a character created in the 70’s, Vixen still has so much potential.

Cyborg Superman killed Donna Troy in Graduation Day. That’s enough for me to despise him. On the plus side, Troy was reborn as a Titan of Myth Moon Goddess so, maybe she should thank tin can Superman.

Exactly! Takes practice. I had a college art professor who brought in models and timed us to see how much of the figure we could put on paper, in say, one minute. It helps zero in on the overall shapes and proportions and not sweat the details. All of that comes later. Keep practicing! ❤️

We got Dick Grayson/Batman for a year and Donna Troy/Wonder Woman for 2-ish issues and a few panels in WWlll. Would really enjoy seeing more of Donna stepping up as Diana’s successor.

The Robinson era League with Supergirl, Donna Troy and Dick Grayson/Batman had the best substitute Trinity and deserved to remain in canon and not left out of History of the DC Universe as one of the leagues iterations.

In general, death in comics has been so overused that it lacks emotional impact. Phoenix I understand, because the whole “reborn from the ashes” thing. Everyone else, though? I guess being a superhero means a get-out-of-death-free card. Death ain’t what it used to be.

And I did pick up Aquaman and collect the title for the first time in years. Definitely a 52 high moment. Low: Didn’t like the attempt to erase Titans out of continuity because the NTT and Perez was a huge reason I started collecting comics as a kid.

I mean, I feel what you’re saying about highs/lows and writers may not write our favorites the way we like. I just felt some creative decisions on WW negatively impacted the character and took away some of her uniqueness of the OG origin in comics. Agree about Chang tho. Loved the art!

When I think of New52 I think of how much they screwed up Wonder Woman. Made her a child of Zeus, how she was trained by Hades. M*der Amazons. Took a feminist icon and gave her daddy issues. Horrible. And don’t get me started on the Titans and Donna Troy…
