I use both a car service and Uber in Brooklyn, NY. Car service is typically cheaper than Uber for most rides and you can lock in prices in advance. It’s better to get picked up at JFK or go to JFK in a car service for price alone. Like $56 vs $80 . I use Uber for short, unplanned rides if it’s cheap
