I can't decide on my favorite signs from today. There were so many great ones. Here are a few I found "special" for one reason or another.

Went to the No Kings rally in a rural Oregon town. It was amazing, the energy was so happy. Maybe because almost no one there expected the turnout, likely close to 2000. The last No Kings here was big for the town at a 10th this one. We were just all in awe of our own numbers. Some signs.

If you’re stroking your chin and telling people to calm down because this will hurt Trump in the midterms, you need to log off and check into hospice with your terminal case of pundit brain

“Let us be clear: we want the power of the state. We wish to hold the criminals of the regime accountable. We wish to seize back the public funds looted by Trump and his cronies. We wish to undo the damage he has done to the government. More than any of that we wish to rebuild.”
From Powerlessness to Power
We will not achieve any of our ultimate goals without exercising state power, and the most effective way to take state power is through nonviolent but confrontational resistance.

the Epstein files make it very clear why the MeToo backlash was so extreme and why so much of elite society preferred Donald Trump ruling us like a king to the barest hint of accountability

"I don’t know what lies ahead on this bumpy road, or how many more Alex Prettis or Renee Goods will have to die before the positive moral force that awoke in Minneapolis can fully reclaim America. It’s hard to think about. What’s clear is this: The time for choosing is today. Which side are you on?"
The senseless murder of Alex Pretti is finally showing everyday folks that the Trump regime is beyond any redemption. And in an anti-religious age, it's sparked a quest for a new American morality

It's beyond politics now. This is about good vs. evil

My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/minn...
Alex Pretti’s ICE murder is beyond politics. This is about good vs. evil | Will Bunch
Trump's inhumane immigration raids and two ICE murders has triggered an American yearning for a return to morality.

Centrists, corporate Dems, and the Establishment won't save us, folks.

They are part of the problem.

What more do you need to see?

We need to purge the entire party and replace them with FIGHTERS.

This is my favorite photo from the walkout today. I love her sign, her mitten, her hat. The walkout in McMinnville, Oregon had an older crowd until the march of students from the high school showed up. It was grandparents and grandkids. It's rural and there were lots of honks from the big trucks.

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

People need to go to prison for allowing this, especially Trump. If we don't get accountability, selling-our-government to the highest bidder will never stop.

👇🎯 Today in "The reason all of the awful & illegal things keep happening in 🇺🇸 politics - from Trump to GWB/torture to Iran-Contra to Watergate, all the way back to Appomattox - is because there are never any legal or personal consequences for all of awful & illegal things happening in 🇺🇸 politics.
There is no way to fix our politics that doesn't involve a lot of powerful people going to prison.

If any other president in all of history said the military should use American cities as a training ground he would be removed from office that same day. The hardest thing to tolerate in all this is how relatively silent elected democrats are. It’s ridiculous.

One side is an unlawfully masked, unbadged secret police rounding and arresting law-abiding essential workers to prop up a fascist regime

The other side is citizens resisting an unjust government, just as MLK taught us to do.

I am 100% on the side of the American people against ICE. Who's with me?

As Trump and Musk are mad at each other, let's remember this doesn't mean they and their supporters - the MAGA ethno-nationalists vs the far-right tech anarcho-libertarians - aren't exactly who we thought they were: Exactly as dangerous, as ridiculous, as rabidly opposed to egalitarian democracy.

I find myself getting sincerely emotional about this. That he’s, under the circumstances, okay. That his wife and kids know this after an agonizing month without him. That a Democratic politician cared enough to go and see him, even after getting told no at first. Trying matters. Fighting works.
I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.
