Walmart spent $43.4B on stock buybacks from 2019 to 2025, enough to give each of its 2.1M workers annual bonuses of $2,953.

Last year, retiring CEO Doug McMillon pocketed $29.2M — his largest payday ever and 958x Walmart's median worker pay of $30,520.

Textbook corporate greed.

Hypocrisy Alert:

Parton was, arguably, America’s most well-known drag performer. Dolly once mailed a rhinestoned guitar to a drag queen suing Texas over its drag ban. Gov. Bill Lee wants to name Nashville's airport after Dolly Parton—the same governor who signed America's first public drag ban.
Tennessee's governor loves Dolly—but not the LGBTQ people she stood up for
Bill Lee wants to rename Nashville's airport after Dolly Parton. Repealing the state's drag ban would be a better tribute.

Trump's embarrassing rant last night about an election he lost six years ago made two things very clear:

1. He's not focused on making life better for Americans. Not even close.

2. We should act now to counteract any efforts to undermine our elections. www.mobilize.us/indivisible/...

Today, SCOTUS ruled that states can ban trans girls from girls' sports. To get there, it watered down the way it analyzes Constitutional protections against sex discrimination. My analysis with comments from

The Supreme Court's trans athlete ruling is a threat to gender equality
Justice Brett Kavanaugh is "not only creating a bad precedent for trans people, he’s significantly lowering the protection all women get."

Apparently my Threads account (or the activity on it) goes against Community Standards. This is not the first time that something like this has happened to me but this time I know it is utter B.S. How could liking a few posts get me shut down?

I might have reposted one or two posts I've liked. But this morning I was locked out and my account was later disabled and I'm "not allowed" (their words) to challenge that decision.

For some reason I can't fathom, Threads doesn't like me. I've had Threads installed for just over a week. During that time I have liked a few posts and followed a few accounts. That's it.
