Fifth straight day of rain where I live, went outside in the early morning on Memorial Day to have a very large Macanudo cigar, and had the following Big Picture thought:

Finished slinging tires into trucks today, my hands touching the last units going onto the last truck. It was a bittersweet moment, as was saying goodbye to people that I've worked with for the better part of a decade.
My new role starts on September 14th, but it just won't be the same.

The landlord my company leased the warehouse I worked at doubled the company's rent (greedy bastard), so my company is pulling operations out of the warehouse to stick it to the bastard (they're laying me and my coworkers off to do this).

For anyone complaining about the war with Iran, I suggest reading Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". Purchase a physical copy, make notes in the margins as you read.

Just had the two piece with fries, coleslaw, and red beans with rice from Popeye's. Didn't expect a biscuit in the box, pleased that it was in there.
Pretty tasty overall, no complaints about any of the items. Don't think I'll have Popeye's again, though; how many chicken chains are out there, now?

Started watching Star Trek: The Next Generation again last night, watched S3E2 about an alien who wiped out 50 billion people because they killed his human partner and 11,000 other humans.
Love the series and the imagination it sparks in my brain...and was reminded of how sad it could be as well.

There's shitloads of small business owners who operate diesel trucks, and my company runs a small fleet of 16' and 26' box trucks.
