I've heard the same story about "Larry the Lobster," one of Australia's Big Things. Allegedly the commissioning seafood people said something like "...giant lobster statue, fifteen feet long..." and the artist wrote down "giant lobster, 15 meters" and nobody noticed until it was delivered.

Terry Pratchett made the very logical extrapolation; in Ankh-Morpork one could hire a retrophrenologist. This was what it says on the tin. Want a sunny disposition and better memory? With a few minutes and a mallet this guy could help you with that.

Americans would love to get an Eisenhower again - but he might be too "liberal" for the Democrats much less the Republicans.

Remember everyone respecting Obama? Have you seen what Mamdani is doing in NYC? We could have presidents like that again.

I suppose it's pointless right now to recommend having at least one other, offline, backup copy. But once you're done there, please make a backup copy. Your dad's one accident away from thanking you for the backup archive.

Epstein was known to collect social contacts with high-achieving people in many walks of life. That he would seek out Noam Chomsky is not surprising.

It's been pointed out that this should be what we're getting from every mayor in America.

So? The Constitution says Donald Trump can't be president either. He's still in the White House.

Fascist movements will fight anyone and everyone; they can't live in peace with themselves much less outsiders. This non-stop fighting is destructive to the fascist government as well as all its victims.

Someone should make up a flyer about how US states can reorganize into Canadian provinces. I imagine there would be a lot of paperwork.

Technically Canada is only a few kilometers from France, so... maybe?
