During one of my field trips in Shanghai, I visited the famous marriage market at People’s Park, which started in 2004. It is known as the People’s Park Matchmaking Corner (renmin gongyuan xiangqin jiao 人民公园相亲角) in Mandarin.

As compared to big companies and banks, small and medium businesses are often less explored. Grateful for the wonderful opportunity to present my work on smaller Chinese remittance shopkeepers in a coffee shop setting in Singapore, as part of an esteemed team!
