Since it’s been almost two years, I decided it’s time to update my about me:
You can find me watching movies and TV.
My favorite genres are horror, comic book, and action, but I love a great movie no matter the genre, decade, or language 🎥

Thanks to Sarah for bringing this to my attention. I stopped using the word completely during her rebranding last year.
Since it's almost September and I'm already seeing lots of use, it's time for a reshare of @sharai.bsky.social's post for @horrorpress.com that inspired me to completely rebrand during an already massively chaotic time last year.

Remove Spook From Your Vocabulary Today
It’s officially Halloween season, and a great time to remind everyone that the word “spook” is a slur. Like many words and phrases in the English language, racists did what they do best and ruined it....

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series
You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

We’ve lost Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, and now Peter Cullen. Can Death please give us a break? It’s bad enough that it’s the wrong folk who are dying.

Fun fact: Dolly Parton spent decades quietly funding band uniforms and instruments at Black high schools across the South - never once putting her name on it. No headlines, no fanfare — just help, given because it was needed.
Wonderful Heart ♥️ RIP Dolly ❤️

Remember that if you got the Moderna Covid vaccine, you have Dolly Parton to thank, she gave the largest individual contribution toward their research to make it possible.
