It's been three weeks since I passed my Viva! The PhD was a long & arudous journey which I couldn't have finished without my inspiring supervisors, Caroline Oliver & Tom Western. Big gratitude to them & all the other friends & colleagues who supported me along the way.

Cannot more highly recommend "Return to Palestine," a play created by The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Refugee Camp on at The Pleasance Theatre in London this weekend. Hilarious, moving, really stunning. www.pleasance.co.uk/events/type/...

Shut down all fratnerities. I am so for real.

Segregation of men and women teaches men to dominate and women to participate in their objectification.

Men, if you care about women, and want to do something to stop rape culture, leave your frat. Then shut it down.
Fraternity men perpetrate sexual violence at a rate three times higher than other college men.

The fraternity lobby is one of the most powerful in DC—and they consistently oppose any bill for survivors’ rights.

Men, it’s never too late to leave your fraternity. Membership is lifelong. And these segregationist institutions use your name to uphold the power they abuse.

This is what your fellow alums are doing. Do you really want to be associated with that?
She was doxxed by a Chi Phi alum who implored his followers to “help a Chi Phi.”

Just in case anyone thought that organization was remotely redeemable.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days.

ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

I was kindly gifted a trial loaf of Dom's new focaccia recipe months ago and I still think about it often
My first recipe for the new year is not exactly health food: bubbly focaccia, slick with red chilli oil, and studded with briny capers. Worth relaxing the diet for though.
Recipe: Chilli crisp and caper focaccia
Salty, spicy, and brilliantly bubbly

Amazing to see these aid workers free of the bogus legal cases plaguing them for 7 years!

NYC-DSA stands against Trump’s illegal war against Venezuela. Extractive wars have defined our lifetimes and we will not silently watch another begin. We know what follows from here - the enabling of a puppet government in the interest of big oil and the spread of US imperialism.
