Everyone needs to read this.
New — I had the opportunity to see NAZA, the documentary freaking out the Israeli government because of its horrifying firsthand descriptions of the way the IDF has used AI to target and massacre Palestinian civilians.

My thoughts on the film’s damning revelations, and the banality of evil:
I saw the documentary the Israeli government doesn’t want you to see
'NAZA' dispels once and for all the myth that the IDF didn't target civilians in Gaza.

I'm torn between thinking this is really cool (which it is) and thinking about what happens when there are 50-foot waves.

It's really cool regardless.
The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

I can hope.
If that's true and a national trend, then yeah, this will be a 1994 or 2010, but in reverse, with Republicans losing state legislative chambers they didn't even think were competitive (such as the state houses in Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas).
Steve Deace Show: “Yesterday, Iowa House Republicans were informed by their own pollsters that if you are in a +15 district you’re within the margin for error, if you’re in a +10 district you’re underwater, and that this might end being an even worse midterm environment than 2006.”

I did a somewhat deep dive into the recent OpenAI and Anthropic "hacks" for an upcoming interview.

IMO, the AI companies are better off running with the "rogue AI" story because the real story is actually pretty embarrassing.

Like making your Wi-Fi password "wifi" embarrassing. 🧵

Violent patriarchy.

The leveraging of Lindsay Clancy’s story to demonize all women is violent patriarchy.

Society’s silence on the scores of women who die at the hands of men while hyper focusing on the actions of this one woman is violent patriarchy.

We have to call that out. 5/5
