Just had a job interview. First one in over a year since I got my current job. I get the feeling the interviewer has never interviewed someone before, both from how it went, and based on the fact that he’s never had to replace an IT person in the 16 years he’s worked there

I was just offered an interview for a job that pays 50% more than I make now after working this job for about 14 months. If we extrapolate this data to a retirement age of 65, by then I’ll be making 8.3 billion dollars a year

It’s no secret that I have issues. Motivation, self-confidence, loneliness. Many of us struggle with these, and I’m no different. But here, at Anthrocon, I’m reminded of who I can be. You’re not alone.
