Why do I feel that as a taxpayer, I'm being robbed blind and the perpetrator won't be held to account?

The level of corruption we're seeing is astounding!

So if they're shutting down multiple agencies and laying off a huge portion of the federal workforce in order to reduce "fraud, waste and abuse," why do the Republicans in the house feel they need to raise the debt ceiling?
