I had him last year as an IL replacement and liked what he did when he played. But honestly it was a bet on Andrew Vaughn regression plus Chourio starting on the IL. I figured Bauers would get decent playing time to begin and then I would drop him when Nootbaar (who I drafted on the IL) got healthy.

I walked out of my NL-Only 5x5 roto with Nasim Nuñez ($5 because of draft dynamics at the endgame) and Jake Bauers ($1), both of whom came up huge for me. Added Casey Schmitt ($1) via trade on April 4, which was great until the ASB.

I am in an old school roto league that conducts all its business by phone/email. At the trade deadline this year, I was in an extended trade negotiation and for both me and the other manager, Gmail started suggesting (wildly wrong/bad) trades for us. This was an actual AI-generated "suggested reply"
