If you ask me, network approaches to biology have so much untapped potential. They still feel niche, even though they capture the relational context of biological data so well. You don’t even need fancy multi-layer ML; classical network analysis is still very informative.

As a bioinformatician, two zsh plugins became non-negotiable for me: zsh-autosuggestions (autocomplete from my command history) and zsh-syntax-highlighting (green = valid command, red = typo). Lifesavers for shell scripting!

One week into my MSc thesis, I started a new Obsidian vault as a "second brain". Funnily enough, one node already acts as a hub, linked to most of its cluster.

What helps: a daily note template, and linking new ideas to something I already wrote.
