I worry they do know what they're doing. Which is not to make games or care for the people under them! But instead be the face of harsh cuts in the wake of overspending, resign in a year or two with a golden parachute, and take all the blame with her so the next CEO starts with a clean reputation.

I wouldn't agree so readily here, because "most important" is inviting comparison, and I'm not sure what the point is. Are we comparing games/toys to something else specifically? Are we saying that games/toys shouldn't be the centerpiece of your life? Some third thing? Makes me cautious to agree.

Game developer here: One of the first lessons we learned when studying game design in college was the relationship between toys and games. Namely, that games *are* toys, but with more structure. (Rules, goals, etc.)

So I'd feel totally fine with it, because it's true.
