Longtime concern about injustices, particularly transparency & intellectual property. Pirate/Fusion candidate for Bennelong. My critique of Labor - not what the LNP says, they'd be worse, but Labor are disappointing. https://johnaugust.com.au

Friday's show, a review of Pauline Hanson - from my background I have a different viewpoint - critical, but not judgemental of those who chose to vote One Nation. There's also coverage of Australia's soft power, Gross Domestic Product and Jim's mowing. www.mixcloud.com/2rrr885fm/ro...

Friday's show -the budget, housing affordability, supply & "investment".

AI chatbots - rotting your brain? Taking you to dark places? There's "AI psychosis".

There's a little "Australian Gothic".

Then, Stonehenge in both the UK and Australia.

And plenty more!

On Friday's "Roving Spotlight", I looked at the #budget, challenging claims about anti-boomer politics of envy & less tax being the solution.

Friday, day after tomorrow, I'll be broadcasting on community radio 2RRR, Ryde Regional Radio, from 9am-10am. 88.5FM.
It's the show "Roving Spotlight".
We'll look at One Nation in Farrer, Data Centres, The NACC, & developing tensions between China, the US and Russia from before the Ukraine War.

With the Farrer result, I'll repeat my letter in the local paper from the 1st April, after the SA result. But also - the LNP sent their preferences to One Nation - perhaps hoping the candidate would implode, like others. In contrast, Independents can become entrenched, along with their successor.

Amazon, which saved $4B in taxes under Trump's Big Ugly Bill, has cut 30,000 jobs since last October.

Verizon, which saved $2B, plans to cut 15,000 jobs this year.

Meta, which saved $3B, plans to lay off 20% or more of its workforce.

Trickle-down economics is a cruel joke.
