I miss the DC of the early 2000s. I was walking up to Kingpin that night and you were doing the door. That guy tumbled down the stairs like a character from a silent movie, and landed at my feet. I saw him, you saw me, and you said: hi, I’m John. It was an epic introduction.

That sounds like a joke, but one of my fondest memories of you is you throwing somebody out of a bar on U street. It was a second story bar with a long flight of stairs.
