There's a really important question which is whether I am as good relative to the general population or active participants.
Like, ok, speed chess. I'm top 20% of active players. That means I'm top 0.1% of the world population.
Being top 0.1% of day traders or gamblers I'll take. Top 20%? No.

It's clear that there's a meaningful social difference, but it is kinda hard to explain objectively why two examples of "member of historic oppressor group dresses as member of historic victim of oppression group, usually in an exaggerated way and often played for laughs" have fared so differently.

I wonder if Magdalen Road Village Fête being on the same day as Jericho Street Fair is a step towards 15 Minute Street Parties where nobody is more than a 15 minute walk from their nearest one on any given Saturday? Seems a bit odd but I guess there are only so many Saturdays to go round.

... I'm hesitant about doing that at the moment as daytime populations from the Census aren't representative of current reality, since (I will get over this in 2031) the Census was conducted at a time when it was mostly illegal to travel to work.

Probably MSOA Settlement but with a colour scale that topped out well below those isolated huge peaks so that you could see the variation in the non-special-case parts of the country clearly.
Alternatively you could use the daytime population rather than the nighttime population, however....

As long as it's a large enough number of potholes within a defined stretch of road. If you're just fixing one pothole, that's revenue, because reasons.

I should be able to answer this myself but it's late. "Changes hands" since the 2022 election for these Councillors, or "changes hands" relative to the 2024 result?

There are of course also, and perhaps more importantly, 24 Councillors not up for election this week. It's probably going to be very close as to whether Green+LD > Lab overall, indeed it may be a tie, but then what do the IOA do? They surely dislike the Greens more...

Too long ago for the internet but I feel like it was everything West of Iffley Road and south of a line running from Magdalen College School to The Fishes, or something like that. Surely a lot of the current ward, even if the Iffley Road side is maybe the friendliest for Greens.

To be honest I wouldn't find that very surprising at all thinking about the demography. I feel like the only likely barrier is people are caring more and more about "local" (and always have more than the parties) and in that respect the Green candidate lives in Cowley, the Labour one locally.

You could ignore the gilt market in isolation, though.
