The psychosocial impact is profound.
Adults and children with DCD reported:
• Embarrassment
• Loss of confidence
• Avoidance of social activities
• Withdrawal from sport & physical activity

😟 Fall-related anxiety is extremely high.
• 72% of adults and children with DCD reported to have a high concern about falling
• This compares with just 3–5% in TD groups.

💥 Injuries are common and serious.
• 37% of adults with DCD reported fall fractures (vs 5% TD)
• 25% of DCD children had fall fractures (vs 5% TD)

• 26% of DCD adults fall 1–2 times per month (vs 3% TD).
• 55% of children with DCD fall 1–2 times per week (vs 23% TD).
