Adding up Luka, Murphy, LeBron, Rui, Jones, Missi and Bronny plus Reaves Cap hold puts them at about 155.1 (plus a few unfilled roster holds), so they're a bit below the cap there, and they'd have that room plus the Room exception (9.4ish) to pay Ayton, Smart, and Kennard.

My question is the last few players you filled in. You talked about Ayton and Kennard possibly opting out, but I think you were talking about Ayton and Smart. Kennard is a FA and the Lakers would have to waive their non-bird rights on him to open up the space to do all the wheeling and dealing.

I love the trade. I'm okay with the concept that FRPs have increased in value enough that New Orleans might accept the deal if they're planning on doing what OKC did and Utah are currently doing.
