It remains really and truly tragic that we have two very prominent voices who not only won't do the work to pronounce Bu (and others') last name, but willingly mock their inability to do so. Those players deserve better and so do we as consumers and fans.

What is going on with recycle collection in SE Seattle @seattleutilities.bsky.social? In the last two months, our block has been missed 4 (out of 5) times. It’s pretty annoying to have to request a missed collection nearly every single recycle day.

Hey @sound-transit.bsky.social it would be way more helpful to riders if the real time signs on the upper levels had the next train going NB and SB/EB instead of the next two trains regardless of direction.

The security theater at @climatepledgearena.com somehow gets even stupider. In addition to every bag bigger than a clutch (incl clear) having to go through X-ray you can no longer bring in sealed water. It’s just soooo stupid.

The Mayor's Office just confirmed with me that the plan is for Bicycle Weekend closures to start around 7pm Friday night and extend through Monday morning. The days of one sunset ride along an open Lake Washington Boulevard per weekend look to be in the past.
This is huge: Katie Wilson's office just announced a significantly expanded schedule for Bicycle Weekends on Lake Washington Boulevard, after years of the program being stifled under Bruce Harrell.
In addition to more weekends, we're getting our long holiday weekends back.

This really sucks. I think the 570 is great but I’d much rather take the train directly to Columbia City than a bus downtown and then backtrack home via the 7. The trains are running anyways! Why can’t they stop?
So, uh...I think this kind of sucks @sound-transit.bsky.social. Losing the last four northbound Link runs out of Federal Way to Beacon Hill isn't an equivalent trade for the 570 Night Owl because the 570 doesn't serve Rainier Valley!

So great but also, ESPN has had 15 years to get this going. Keep in mind it owned the rights to WNBA, NCAA women’s sports and all four Grand Slams at the height of Serena’s dominance. People pitched these shows. The network didn’t just find out about women’s sports.

I can't say this loudly enough: THEY ARE TRYING TO NORMALIZE THE KILLING OF CIVILIANS FOR PARTICIPATING IN FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTED PROTEST ACTIVITIES.
This was me several weeks ago. I ended up wandering out to the market front and eating at the tables there. The tables were full of folks eating even in early December. Year round seating on Pike Place please!
It’s December 30th. Pike Place Market is packed with people awkwardly standing or sitting on the curb to eat treats from vendors. Removing the street seating for the winter was a mistake. Seattle has a mild climate with days where people want to sit and linger year round

The delays are frustrating for sure but ST’s poor rider communications makes them even worse. Yes fix the reliability issues but also do better communicating about unplanned service interruptions to your riders! I’m not sure why this part of the equation doesn’t get more attention.
As the system celebrates its fourth expansion in two years, it is also facing increasing scrutiny over service interruptions that can make it unreliable.
