Once, 19 years ago, I put a ticket in my apron pocket instead of sending it to the kitchen, and when the customer asked where the food was I told them to be patient, but the food never came. I still die a little bit whenever I think about it.

I’m not one of those “everything was better in the 90s” millennials, but we can all agree screen savers were very cool and should make a comeback.

Someone left a (sealed) Costco chicken and loaf of bread on my doorstep. There was no receipt, and no one I’ve asked has taken credit. Is this a gang initiation? Is it safe to eat the chicken??

Imagine being Flock and the product you sell is Dystopia, and you’re shocked that people aren’t super jazzed about Dystopia.

They’ll be fine though. Governments love Dystopia.

Had a teen reply “oh, my stepdad really likes that show/book” to not one but two of my attempts at small talk today. Absolutely devastating.

In a completely unexpected twist, Embark says the puppy is 1/2 Great Pyrenees. Which I guess would make her a Pretty Good Pyrenees.

Lately I’ve been getting nonstop targeted ads for Sjögren's Disease treatments. I do not, to my knowledge, have Sjögren's Disease or any of the symptoms of Sjögren's Disease.

Shit you guys, do I have Sjögren's Disease??

Have you ever seen a more ridiculous creature? Is it a puppy? Is it an old man at a sauna? Perhaps a Costco rotisserie chicken? We have no way of knowing.

Re-watching The Americans, repeatedly having the experience of wondering “where do I know that actor from?” only to look it up and realized “Oh, he was in The Americans.”

This may just be a Bay Area thing, but ADHD mom + ASD dad (suspected or diagnosed) is by far the most common family developmental history I hear in my clinical work. It’s the oysters and champagne of neurodiverse family dynamics. Total classic pairing.

In this reaction video, I will pretend to hear a wildly popular, decades old pop song for the first time while affecting a sense of wonder that borders on cognitive impairment.

The woman across the aisle from me watched the same movie on a loop for the entire 11-hour flight. No idea what the movie was; something French. If this was some ritual that kept our plane in the air, thank you.

Dear hotel designers: at no point has anyone ever thought “I wish this bathroom wall was frosted glass.” Stop. It.

50 years from now there will be a Mad Men style show about today, and some dumb 2026 character will be like, “Eat your food with this plastic fork, Timmy. Just put the plastic in your mouth,” and the audience will get such a chuckle about the nightmare we live in.
