I think there should be a law that anytime a politician is speaking to the public, making a statement, or running an ad they should be considered automatically under oath.
So they could be prosecuted for intentionally lying to the public.

What if instead of 2 senators per state we had 3 senators, and the third one is a randomly chosen person of legal age living in that state? Same bloated salary as elected senators and same voting power. They also get government-provided housing for when they're in DC.
