I have a lot of respect for what Matt Mullenweg has created and the ideals he created a lot of these platforms on... the open web. I'm not sure what my opinion is on him now, but his leadership methods may not be as polished as his belief in the open web.

AI isn't some kind of new form of "alien mind," according to Jensen Huang. It's just hardware and software, so safety can be engineered by each AI product maker.

I wish you the best in the Offline
Dave Rupert - daverupert.com/2026/09/i-wi...

I have been slowly pulling back from social media and going back to my blog. Not the exact same as these extreme examples, but it feels better to only be in my own space.

My feed is flooded with Anthony Bourdain memories.

He’s been on my mind for the last decade. I’ve read his books, watched his shows, and felt his deep pains. There’s a connection.

I’m happy to see these things again, but it makes me grieve for those who still see him as just a TV personality.

I like this plan a lot, I’ve been kicking around a similar idea but with all middle class in mind — $150k for a 30% flat tax…no other deductions. Stockholders pay 1% fee for all shares. This means no taxes for families under 150k only 30% for every dollar over 150k.

AI doesn't reduce work, it intensifies it.

The promise of generative AI lies not only in what it can do for work, but in how thoughtfully it is integrated into the daily rhythm. Our findings suggest that without intention, AI makes it easier to do more—but harder to stop.
