I noticed EACA in an eye drop and found a paradox: EACA/TXA can block plasminogen/plasmin localization to fibrin or ECM, but can also open plasminogen and facilitate activation. TXA binds more strongly, yet opens Plg at lower concentrations. Higher affinity ≠ always better.

Interestingly, many of the green ones were already split open. I thought browning and splitting happened together, but splitting can apparently come first.

I wonder if these green burrs will gradually turn brown on the ground.

UDCA and CDCA differ only in the stereochemistry of the 7-OH group (7β vs 7α), yet UDCA is more hydrophilic.

Does 7β-OH increase hydration itself, or mainly redistribute water across the steroid surface and disrupt the continuous hydrophobic face? An MD comparison would be interesting.

I noticed silicon dioxide (SiO₂) listed as an inactive ingredient in a medicine and wondered: why is it in a tablet?

Fine SiO₂ particles act as a glidant, reducing cohesion and friction between powder particles. Their silanol (Si–OH) surfaces can also interact with water.

Saw these two millipedes moving together like this in walking with my dog.

I wondered why they were stacked on top of each other, and learned that similar mounting behavior can be associated with courtship in millipedes.

I love how an ordinary walk can suddenly turn into a biology question.

At present, the research of the formation from small molecules to RNA duplex without enzyme in the prebiotic environment is being done. However, prebiotic research of formation from primary structure of RNA to tertiary structure of it isn't being done. Every prebiotic researcher should focus on it.

I fonud something like lichen on my garden in the picture. When I turn it over, there were 5 pill bugs!
Besides, there were many lichens on the ground, so I turn all of them over. And, I found only a group of pill bugs!
Don't you think it is strange in terms of only pill bugs and only lichens?
