I liked the first two Enola Holmes movies, but lip fillers freak me out, and I can't watch the third. I'm listening, but every time I look at the screen, my skin crawls.

What It Feels Like at Cornell Right Now
As a professor at the Ivy League school, Kate Manne has known many, many victims. There’s a palpable feeling on campus, she writes, that this is big.

A friend sent me a job opportunity but said they would never hire me if I kept posting about feelings, behaviors, and unethical business practices on LinkedIn. Some I've deleted every post that makes me look like a human, and now I have no interest posting there again.

Any chess players around that can explain why the king wouldn't take the knight? Stockfish has the queen's pawn move next.

I like the For You feed, but it doesn't include people I follow, which is annoying. Anyone know a way to merge the two so I don't have to flip back and forth?

Two more years of John Fetterman before Pennsylvania can elect someone without a traumatic brain injury. There needs to be a way for citizens to recall their elected officials. Being stuck with a stroke victim for 6 years is ridiculous.

I saw the store "Britches of Concord" today, but I misread it as "Bitches of Concord", and it made me miss my roller derby friends.

Wouldn't that make it a public army of influencers?
It takes you 20 paragraphs to get to the part of the article where they admit that Mamdani isn't paying the influencers and the reason they are posting videos of the stuff Mamdani is doing is because people are interested in watching it.

it's wild how republicans will be like "governing is bad, also elect me to govern you" and people do and they put their promise into practice and don't govern, run everything off a cliff, bankrupt everyone, light the world on fire, and after a while people forget about that and let them do it again

I'm starting to wonder if the AI interview I took was a scam. There were some yellow flags, but the CEO's profile seemed legit. He is even connected to some of my connections. But now I'm wondering if the interview was used to train the model instead of looking for an actual applicant.

We really need JD Vance to become president before January. I don't want that fucker eligible for two terms as president. (Not that I think he could win two terms, but it's getting harder to trust our elections, so who wants to risk it?)
