Summary of our mini-review in the @journalofecology.bsky.social. Our work explores the extremes of cation availablity from the oceanic bogs of the Falklands to the the Sudeten mountains where concentrations are two orders of magnitude lower.

Rewetted areas acted as refugia but not fire breaks

Mowing heather did create fire breaks but more recently mowed patches created problems with smouldering fires

Final data downloads from the GGR-Peat Featherbed site. As well as the weather station we have 54 dipwells logged at 15 min resolution for four years = 7.5 million data points!
