Being a dad/parent is partly about eating garbage.
When your kids are small that means finishing what they half-ate because otherwise it’s just a waste.
When they’re teenagers, apparently it’s eating the last handful of broken chips when they open a new bag b/c otherwise it’s a waste.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.

I feel like saying “TACO” right now might be the wrong approach. You can’t “chicken out” from doing war crimes. Any reason not to do war crimes is a good reason. Some are better than others, but they’re all better than doing the thing.

Appendectomy recovery instructions include: Not lifting anything heavier than 10 lbs for 6 weeks. Not running for 6 weeks. Not doing anything to stress, strain, or jar the abdomen for 6 weeks.
So my running plan is cancelled. I like running. :(

Firmly in the category of First World Problems: Went for a run outside today as the weather is tolerable. GPS watch did not record my route as I ran. It is a GPS watch. Recording my location is its prime function and it failed at it.
Sigh.
