Perhaps someone should ask the law firms with thousands of lawyers how many pro-democracy cases they are handling. For most, the answer is zero.

The vice president of the United States should not be weighing in on criminal prosecutions, let alone criminal investigations in progress. This is how banana republics function, taking out revenge on enemies via criminal “justice“ process. Politicians should stay out of prosecution.
