I would suggest all of World Masterpiece Theater myself, but I know that's a pipe dream that'll never happen, so I'll go with Nurse Angel Ririka SOS and Uninhabited Planet Survive.

Take note, Western anime fans: This guy is the reason uncut anime got a foothold in America at all. If not for him, we wouldn't have anime in America as we know it. Whether you've been there from the start or just getting into it now, you have Woodhead to thank for it. Watch this video NOW.
New episode of The Anime Business!
AnimEigo founder Robert Woodhead talks about bringing anime to western audiences & more! And stay until the very end to hear something special.

For me it's The Klutzy Witch. It's pretty much everything that children's movies SHOULDN'T be or do, indulges in every bad kids movie cliche possible, drops subplots as soon as they're mentioned, has a horrible message at the end, and actively insults its audience's intelligence.
In honor of today's viewing of Scarlet, I'm going to throw out a question to y'all: what's the worst anime movie you've seen?
Hard mode: no compilation films (because let's be real, most of them aren't good to begin with).

SPREAD THIS. If you still have LiveJournal accounts with anything important on them, SAVE THEM ASAP.
Okay, I will preface this with the GIGANTIC disclaimer that I promise I know how this looks, and I *swear* this is not personally motivated: If you have an old #LiveJournal account, and it has things you still care about in it, download it or import it to Dreamwidth SOON. Details:

Man, I am loving the insane marketing and advertising push Beatbreak has been getting across the board. Between being put into Time Stranger's DLC, to a new English dub, and a freakin' bit on Time Square, I think this is the most promotion Digimon has ever gotten in...ever! Good on you, Toei.
We have a trailer for the English dub of Digimon Beatbreak and it's seemingly coming to Crunchyroll soon.

I'm liking this new Steam Replay thing! Shame one of the images on the 2025 one is broken. Think it might be either Kanade or the ToHeart demo. Love that they let us do previous years too!

I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

Wait, Duo was inspired by Mattia from Nobody's Boy Remi, one of my favorite anime?! Wow! Considering Mattia was a street rat in both the book and the anime, this explains soooo much and I love it!

Thanks a lot, ya damn orange manbaby. I don't normally buy anything beyond $100 except for rare exceptions, but I know for a fact this is going to screw over so many anime, game, and Gunpla fans, not to mention small business that rely on imports.
Japan Post announced that beginning this Wed, Aug 27, they will temporarily refuse all commercial packages destined to the United States. This falls in line with similar moves by the UK, Australia, etc. Only packages marked as "gift" with a value under $100 will be accepted.

One where you didn't get rid of remote recording, therefore denying a lot of disabled or out-of-state actors work that could have benefitted them a lot. On top of all the other bullshit you put people through for your own gain.
So many anime worlds exist. Which fantasy world would you most want to wake up in? ✨🌎

I miss when anime could be 26-52 episodes long, and have whole episodes dedicated to characters just taking a break, learning a new skill, or just having fun. Started rewatching Nobody's Boy Remi recently, which reminded me of how great anime can be when they're allowed to take their time.

Mine was Pokemon Yellow. Got it and the lime green GameBoy Color on my 7th birthday. Never got very far with it until I got older and wound up selling the cartridge later, but I still cherish the game for being my first, even with its flaws.

Guys, play this game! Whether it be on Switch or Steam! It's a super cute, wholesome game! It's also the closest thing we're gonna get to an official English localization of the Boku no Natsuyasumi games, since the guy who made those also made this.
