“This SOTU could have been an email.” Agreed!
And when people ask what should the Democrats do, particularly in light of the fact that the President retains a veto: plenty. I will start with the petty: do not invite the President to give the SOTU. Have him send a letter. A more substantive approach: it is time to audit the Executive Branch.

TODAY: Judge Aileen Cannon will have to let Trump down by either blocking testimony by agents involved in his Mar a Lago search, or by inadvertently releasing Volume II of Jack Smith's report. That's funny to me. Free to listen and subscribe: www.muellershewrote.com/publish/post...

Does anyone else find it hilarious that Trump went after Jerome Powell for MONTHS to try and get him to resign so he could install a lackey who would lower interest rates for him, only to have his lackey get there and then suggest they may RAISE interest rates? youtu.be/KC6u4sisZ3w?...

Corporate America has turned its back on democracy and bowed down to Trump. When, in the future, it once agains becomes convenient for them to say they celebrate democracy we should not believe them.

In the meantime, we are on our own.

“I’ve been eating BBQ since before Ken Paxton’s first indictment” is a great joke.

I’d love to see Talarico swap out the punchline each time he tells it.

“…since before Ken Paxton cheated on his wife”

“…since before Ken Paxton was impeached by his own party”

There are hundreds of options.
