@jonboeckenstedt.bsky.social Sounds like a Bayesian where the interesting variables are 1) probability a good signal tip is understood as such and responded to in kind vs. taken as signal the tipper is a mark, and 2) degree to which tippee's prior experience primes for better action behind door 3.

Also, unlike "modern" parents, mine had the better sense not to take me out to those places while I was an infant. They had responsibility, decorum, and grace.
And none of those were flying enclosed tight spaces. Do you exist in the real world or are you one of these neo-bleed-on-the-land wish-fairies?
You cried on the street, in stores, in church, at the doctor's office, in the park, at the movies, on the train, anywhere your parents took you. It's what babies do. All of them.
