From my moms hometown-love to see it. Would love for a #historybuff to add more of the civil rights history too.

Worrying about a possible milkshake duck situation, I looked at his FB page, but he seems ok. Juneteenth celebrations, community outreach, Methodists. A solid old gent.

I really don't want to provoke them into ginning anything up, but it is so so so hard to imagine the National Guard here in DC doing anything other than standing around. There'll be like 12 things they get involved with period.

The long tail of having shown my kids mulan is that I keep having to explain sexism to Noah as it is a very foreign concept to him
He is currently obsessed with the Be a Man song and today was stuck on the line "did they send me daughters when I asked for sons" bc he couldn't fathom it as an insult
