Richard Berger is not the ONLY HSI agent to lie to frame Democrats.

So did Ricky Patel, when kidnapping Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. So did Ryan Ribner FIRST when assaulting David Huerta, then spying some more on SEIU.

Technically 212(k) has nothing to do with this situation at the moment, as Rep. Omar is a U.S. citizen. But if the Trump admin tried, and succeeded, to denaturalize on this specific allegation (which is highly unlikely), she'd return to having a green card and would be eligible for a 212(k) waiver.

One prominent case on the 212(k) waiver involves a pair of siblings who got a visa through their mother. Their mother had used a broker in South Korea who had bribed consular officials for visa.

The mother was ordered deported. Her innocent children were allowed to stay.

An important bit of immigration law which is relevant here; there is already a waiver process — Section 212(k) of the INA — by which immigrants who obtain status through fraud that they didn't know about can avoid consequences like losing a green card. So this is *even weaker* than it already seems.

There is absolutely no viable path forward for this country that doesn’t hinge on extreme accountability for everyone involved in this administration. They’re going to whine about politicization and credulous media types will echo them, but the thing is, they’ve committed tons of obvious crimes!
I do not think an exec branch led by a man who thinks he is entitled to treat federal agents as an arm of his firm, refers to Somali Americans as “garbage” and has said racist things specifically about Omar is capable of neutrally applying the law to her, to put it mildly apnews.com/article/ilha...

Many women still don’t have paid parental leave in the U.S.

Our survey shows that among employed women who recently had or adopted a child, about half took some amount of paid leave.

Others took only unpaid leave, and more than 1 in 10 took no leave at all. https://on.kff.org/3VV0eOw

The question is what we are going to do about it. Will we try to hide and hope it doesn’t affect us? Or will we stand tall, and act? It starts with fighting in court and speaking out. Also with voting this November.
